Well, not so much a statement as an idea. An idea that has been here since I started this web site.  The idea that people want something Real or Reel.

I've changed the wording in this mission a few times. Such as life, web sites have to change too. What hasn't changed is the concept of Reel Butter.

I miss Reel Butter on my popcorn. One day in the past, I'm not sure when, a few damn business men got together and saw that they could save $ .20 cents on a bucket of popcorn if they used a piss yellow oil, instead of butter. So that left us in the thearter eating popcorn that was kind of ok but always felt like it was missing something. I miss Reel Butter up on the screen as well.

Reel Butter on the movie screen. This has been missing also to some extent. You know, you are watching a movie,  it seems ok but somethings missing. This is the Reel Butter missing. Why is it missing?  Do to the big studio machines that need to have a 40 million dollar first weekend Box office to make a profit. Trading in vision, for the lowest common denominator, something that can please everyone or at least please the highest numbers. I know the content people want in movies is different from person to person. However, because of the desire to make more money, movies are losing their edge. So movies don't excel or flop, they are mediocre and that is the very opposit of Reel Butter.

Reel Butter is: Film that is dripping off the screen. Something that can't be over looked, something not easy to forget, something that means SOMETHING.  Not just for it's shock value,  it's big names or the FX that top the last big FX movie. Something that lasts. Something with resonance, Reel Butter. There is some out there but we need a more of it.

So if you have ever felt that something was missing, in your popcorn and in your movies, you know what I mean. So come and be a part of this community and make sure everyone knows you will not settle for anything less than Reel Butter.
